Our dearest section and our lowest scoring one. Two cuts, thirteen colours, and a hip column that measures the trousers rather than you.

Both cuts are 70% rayon and 30% linen. We sell them as linen trousers and the linen is the minority fibre, which is ordinary at this price and still catches people out. Rayon is weaker wet than dry, and one of the two cuts carries a Dry Clean Only instruction on its label.
The Small row on the palazzo trousers reads a 20 to 21 in waist against a 47 to 48 in hip. Nobody is shaped like that. What we measured is the garment around, not a body, so the number is a ceiling to clear rather than a target to match. The fit finder tells the two kinds of hip column apart and applies a different rule to each. On the smocked waist cut it goes further and sits the piece out altogether, because there the waist column is the band lying flat as well.
These carry our two lowest averages: 3.9 on one cut from 948 votes, 4.0 on the other from 382. We have no review text to explain either figure, only the figures.
